Art in Lu was born in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia, created by Maddy Sewell, a self-taught visual artist. In lieu of work and study in the summer of 2022 after living in Barcelona for a short period, she began painting the Lu series inspired by her adopted dog Lucy. 

Since, the Lu series has been shown in two group exhibitions and works continue to be created!
